My Story

My name is Da’Von D. Heath. I am a devoted husband to my gorgeous wife Jennifer Heath and father of three handsome boys, Tyson, Ace and Kano. I was born in jersey city, NJ, but grew up in Lancaster, SC. For the past 11 years I’ve been living in Charlotte.

Creative writing has always been something I could do relatively with ease. As a middle schooler, I began writing poetry and lyrics which carried into high school. There, I honed my skills and began to Creatively incorporate Similes and metaphors into my works. Naturally,  in college at Mars Hill University, formally Mars Hill College, when it came time to write end of semester papers and class essays, it wasn’t that difficult. I even had a poem published in our school’s Cadenza, which was comprised of poems, short stories and other literary works.

As an adult, my writing increased into writing for others and songwriting, along with my continuous knack for writing witty and metaphorical works to make readers/listeners think a little outside of the box. All of this I feel has been practice for me to now write books.

Aside from writing, most of my time is spent traveling with my family, watching movies and listening to music. I enjoy running and as a former collegiate football player, doing just about  anything athletic. My wife Jennifer and I also have a podcast called Chameleon Love. On here we talk about the different experiences with relationships, love, marriage and parenting and how throughout life we have to continue to adapt to the changing of each other. Check it out. Available on all podcast platforms.
